But City Classic Cars paint shop does not strive for a 100 point car in this level of restorative paint. Actually, AACA works on a 400 point system. 400 is the standard of perfection. Truthfully most vehicles (no, not all of them) that score 400 points are over restored. Meaning that they look better than what you would have expected when the dealer received them from the factory.  Keep in mind that over restoration is different than non-authentic restoration. The goal of the "Show & Go" is the day it left the factory condition- remember, no perfect car leaves the factory. We strive for a 90%-95% percentile of greatness.  In AACA terms, we strive for a near 365 points of 400 (365 is the entry level of greatness). To go from 365 to 400 points can often extend the project by 6 months and almost double the cost. Now, the 400 point car will beat the 365 point car, yet the 365 point car is at the top level of restoration as that range is 365-400.

The Show add Go are disassembled, all glass removed, doors and fenders removed and on request engine components. Car is stripped through DA or other process down to the metal, all seals, chrome trim, bumpers, emblems, gaskets and rubbers are replaced or restored Prices start north of $35, 000.
